Join us for the ABC/Ohio Leadership Conference April 23-24, 2021. It is a conference for pastors, staff, leadership and congregation members. Join us as we discuss creating a culture of intergenerational ministries.

The event will take place over two days with a hybrid of in-person and virtual participation. Our Saturday hybrid event will take place at the First Baptist Church of Newark (1000 Granville Rd., Newark, OH 43055). ABC/Ohio is pleased to welcome Dr. Holly Allen as our conference leader.

This is a conference for Pastors, Church Leadership and Members creating a culture of ministry partnership!

Through teaching and discussion, Dr. Allen will help pastors, children's ministry leaders, senior adult ministry leaders, teachers, other church leaders and parents learn practical ways to implement intergenerational ministry in ABC Ohio Congregations

Two-day attendance is encouraged for our pastors while Saturday attendance benefits leadership teams. All church members are encouraged to attend Saturday's conference!

Safety precautions will be taken in response to COVID-19. Masks will be required at all times, except when eating. We will be maintaining safe social distancing in conference rooms and dining space.

Dr. Holly Catterton Allen is Professor of Family Science and Christian Ministry at Lipscomb University. She teaches undergraduate course in Early Childhood Development and Family Ministry.

Dr. Allen's areas of scholarly interest are children's spirituality and intergenerational issues. She is the author of "InterGenerate: Transforming Churches through Intergenerational Ministry" (ACU Press, 2018), the edited volume from the 2017 InterGenerate Conference held in Nashville, TN and "Intergenerational Christian Formation: Bringing the Whole Church Together in Ministry, Community and Worship" (InterVarsity Press, 2012). She is currently working on a book for InterVaristy Press with the working title of "Nurturing Spiritual Formation in Children."

Dr. Allen chairs the task force that convened the inaugural InterGenerate Conference in 2017 at Lipscomb University. InterGenerate is an international, cross-denominational gathering that brings together academics and practitioners who are passionate about bringing the generations together in Christian faith communities.

She is married to Leonard Allen and they have three adult children: David, Daniel and Bethany as well as four grandchildren. She and her husband enjoy hiking, lifting weights, gardening and cooking together.
