Awards for Columbus Baptist Association Members |

Three members of Columbus Baptist Association Churches were recently recognized as recipients of ‘The Living Faith Award’ presented to individuals of exemplary faith and the influence of faith within their vocation and larger community. The awards are presented by the Columbus Metropolitan Area Church Council, whose mission is ‘to encourage one another in mission, build relationships among Christians, create a forum for Christian witness in the community, and work with others in a common mission.’
This year’s recipients from Columbus Baptist Association churches are:
Peggy Burke – She received the first ‘Alvin R. Hadley Social Justice Award.’ (Living Faith Award) Peggy is a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Columbus where the Rev. Dr, Charles Booth serves as Pastor.
Dorothy Alexander – She received the ‘Living Faith Award.’ Dorothy is a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Columbus where the Rev. Dr. Otha Gilyard serves as Pastor.
Amy Early – She received the ‘Living Faith Award.’ Amy is a member of Second Baptist Church in Columbus where the Rev. Howard Washington serves as Pastor.
